◆ BATCHLY LOCAL DELIVERY · INCLUDED

Sell to the customer who isn't coming in.

Batchly Local Delivery lets an independent shop take delivery orders from its store page (and, with Shophand, by text and phone), run tonight's route with its own drivers, and put a tracking link on every order. Turn it on in one screen; cash collected at the door lands in your books as a real sale the moment the stop is marked delivered. Included in the $99/mo plan; Batchly takes no delivery commission.

How it works

Three people. One order.

Customer

Picks Delivery, picks a date

On your store page they choose Delivery instead of Pickup, enter an address (the zip is checked against your zone), and pick a date. Before the cutoff, today is on the list. After it, the next delivery day is. They see your window and your fee before they pay.

Counter

Sees it in the same Orders queue

The order lands next to your text, phone and website orders, marked Delivery with the date, window and address. Tonight's route builds itself from the day's delivery orders.

Driver

Runs the route from a phone

A teammate with the Driver role signs in on their phone and sees only their stops: tap to call, tap to navigate, the item list, what to collect, and one button to mark it delivered.

Tonight's route

Every stop, in order, with the cash on it.

Open the Orders tab and tonight's delivery orders are already a route. Put the stops in the order you want to drive them, hand it to a driver, print it or send it to Maps.

  • Stops in sequence
Move a stop up or down and the driver's phone follows the same order.
  • Cash to collect, per stop
Each stop shows what the driver collects. Customers who paid online show Paid, so nobody at the door asks for money twice.
  • One Google Maps link
Every stop from your store address in one link, ready for turn-by-turn. A night past ten stops splits into legs.
  • Printable route sheet
One line per stop: code, name, phone, address, items, collect or paid, a signature line, and the cash total at the bottom.
  • Assign in one move
Assign the whole route to a driver at once, or split it by stop.

The driver's phone

Only their stops. Nothing else.

Drivers get a Driver role, not a manager login. They see the stops assigned to them and the tools to finish them.

  • Tap to call, tap to navigate
The customer's number and address open the phone and the maps app directly.
  • Item list and what to collect
Each stop shows the items and either Collect $x or Paid online.
  • Set an ETA
One tap sets an arrival time, 15 to 60 minutes out, or type one. The customer's tracking page reads "Arriving around 5:10 PM."
  • On my way
Marks the stop out for delivery.
  • Mark delivered, with photo proof
A timestamp and an optional photo of the handoff, kept private to your store.
The tracking link

The customer sees the status. The street sees nothing.

Every delivery order gets a tracking link. Store-page customers see it on their order confirmation; for text, phone and website orders, copy it from the route panel and send it. It shows the order status, the delivery window, the driver's ETA, the item count, and the amount due at the door. It never shows the address, the customer's name or phone, or what was ordered, so a forwarded link gives away no one's address.

  • Scheduled
"Scheduled for Thu, Sep 4, between 4:30 PM and 11:30 PM."
  • On the way
"On the way. Arriving around 5:10 PM."
  • Delivered
    "Delivered at 7:41 PM. Thanks!"
  • Store name and phone
The phone you choose in settings, so questions come to you.

Cash at the door

Booked as a sale the moment it's delivered.

When a driver marks an unpaid stop delivered, the cash they collected is recorded as a real cash sale in that day's numbers. No envelope to count against a list, nothing to key in later. It reconciles like a sale rung at the counter.

  • Paid online shows Paid
Card orders from the store page or your website carry Paid onto the route, the driver's phone and the tracking page.
  • Unpaid shows Collect $x
The order total with tax and your delivery fee in it: exactly what the driver should bring back.
  • The night's cash, before anyone leaves
The route total shows what should come back, so the drawer count at close has a number to match.

One queue. One route.

Store page

Delivery at checkout

Your hosted store at batchly.shop/s/your-shop gets a Delivery choice, an address, and a date picker. Online store →

Text

Delivery in the thread

With Shophand, customers who order by text can ask for delivery. Front Desk collects the address, offers the dates, and reads back the window and the total due at the door, all in the thread.

Phone

Delivery on the line

With Shophand, Front Desk takes delivery orders on the phone too, reading back the date, window and total due at the door. Meet Shophand →

Website

Delivery from WooCommerce

Choose which shipping methods mean delivery in the plugin and point it at your checkout's delivery-date field. Those orders come in with the date the customer picked (no date field: they land on tonight's route, flagged for staff to re-date) and their payment status: paid online shows Paid, cash on delivery shows Collect, and they take a stop on the same nightly route. The plugin →

Counter

Pickup turned into delivery

Staff can turn any pickup order into a delivery: add the address, date and note, pick a driver. No fee is added; that stays your call at the counter.

Setup

One screen. Then flip it on.

Delivery is off until you turn it on. Everything lives on one card in the Online tab.

  1. STEP 1

    Your zone

The zip codes you deliver to. An address outside them is refused at checkout, not discovered at the door.

  2. STEP 2

    Cutoff and window

A same-day cutoff (say 4:00 PM) and the window text customers see (say 4:30 to 11:30 PM). Miss the cutoff and the customer is offered your next delivery day.

  3. STEP 3

    Fee, free-over, minimum

A flat fee, free above an order size, or always free, plus an optional minimum order.

  4. STEP 4

    Days and how far ahead

Which days you deliver and how many days out a customer may schedule.

  5. STEP 5

    Store address and phone

The address is where the route starts in Maps. The phone is what the tracking page shows.

  6. STEP 6

    Turn it on

Flip the toggle and every channel offers delivery from the next order. Test-mode orders never reach a driver.

FAQ

Questions merchants ask first.

Does Batchly offer local delivery?

Yes. Local delivery is part of the Batchly register: customers choose delivery on your store page (by text or phone too, with Shophand), your own drivers run tonight's route from their phones, and every order gets a tracking link. Delivery is included in the $99/mo plan.

Do I need my own drivers?

Yes. Delivery runs on your team: give a teammate the Driver role and they sign in on their phone. They see only the stops assigned to them.

Do you use DoorDash or Uber?

No. Delivery runs on your own drivers and your own rules: your zone, your cutoff, your fee. Batchly takes no delivery commission; orders paid online carry the usual card fee, nothing more.

What if a customer orders after the cutoff?

They can still order; the earliest date offered is your next delivery day. You choose how many days ahead they can schedule.

Can customers choose delivery by text or on the phone?

Yes, with Shophand, the optional AI front desk ($49.96/mo): text orders and Front Desk phone orders can be delivery, with the same zone, cutoff and fee rules as the store page.

Do orders from my WooCommerce site ride the same route?

Yes. Point the plugin at your checkout's delivery-date field and a website delivery order appears on the route for the date the customer chose; without one it lands on tonight's route, flagged for staff to re-date. Paid online shows Paid; cash on delivery shows Collect for the driver.

What does the tracking link show?

Status, delivery window, ETA, the item count and the amount due. Never the address, name, phone or what was ordered.

What happens to cash my driver collects?

When the driver marks the stop delivered, the amount is booked as a cash sale for that day. Paid-online stops show Paid, and the driver collects nothing.

What does it cost?

It is part of the Batchly platform at $99/mo. 21-day free trial, no card to start. Your delivery fee, if you charge one, is yours.

Can I try it without real orders?

Yes. Test-mode orders never reach a route, a driver, or a customer.
