## Batchly Online: integration guide for AI agents

> Batchly Online is the hosted checkout and recurring-billing layer of the
> Batchly platform described above. This file lets an AI coding agent integrate
> Batchly Online checkout (one-off payments + subscriptions) into a merchant's
> own website with no onboarding call. Everything here is stable and
> self-contained. Card data is tokenized in the browser by Collect.js; your
> code never touches a PAN (PCI SAQ A).

### What you're integrating

A merchant hosts their OWN checkout page and calls Batchly's public
`online-checkout` function. Batchly prices every charge server-side, vaults the
card, runs recurring billing + dunning, and fires webhooks you fulfill on. The
merchant gets a `tenantId` (a UUID) and a Collect.js **public** key from Batchly.

Online checkout is switched on per store by Batchly. Until it is, every action
answers 403 `Online checkout is not enabled for this store`; and `info` returns
`collectKey: null` while the store has no tokenization key configured (in test
mode this also requires Batchly to enable sandbox for the store). Both mean 'ask
the merchant to finish setup in Batchly → Online', not a bug in your code.

Every amount is priced by the server from the merchant's catalog; never send an
amount. All online charges are absorb-only (the customer sees one clean price).

### The card flow (client-side, required)

1. Call `info` → get `collectKey` and the catalog.
2. Load Collect.js exactly as the reference checkout page does: copy its
   `<script src="…/token/Collect.js">` tag verbatim and set
   `data-tokenization-key="<collectKey>"`. Collect.js is served from Batchly's
   payment-gateway host (the same host the reference page's CSP allows); the
   tokenization key you receive from `info` is scoped to your store.
3. `CollectJS.configure({ variant:'inline', fields:{ ccnumber:{selector:'#cc'}, ccexp:{selector:'#exp'}, cvv:{selector:'#cvv'} }, callback: r => r.token && doCharge(r.token) })`
4. On the returned single-use token, POST `purchase` or `subscribe` above.

### Fastest path (recommended)

Copy Batchly's reference checkout page, https://batchly.shop/checkout.html,
onto your own domain and set `?s=<tenantId>` (optionally `&plan=<id>` or
`&product=<id>` to deep-link an offering). It is a live payment page, so it is
excluded from search and AI crawling: open it in a browser, or have the merchant
save the page and hand you the file, rather than fetching it with a crawler. It
does the whole flow above and is yours to restyle. That is a complete
integration; nothing else is required to take a payment.

Two hardening rules when the page lives on YOUR domain (learned from real
integrations; do both):
1. PIN the tenantId (hardcode it or read it from your env/build config) instead
   of accepting `?s=` from the URL. A URL-supplied store id lets anyone craft a
   link that sells a DIFFERENT store under your brand. `&plan=`/`&product=`
   deep-link params are fine to keep; they only select among your own catalog.
2. The page ships a strict PCI payment-page CSP. Keep that CSP scoped to the
   checkout route only (page-level meta or route-scoped middleware). If your
   site is an SPA, enter and leave checkout with real navigations (plain <a>,
   hard reload) so the strict policy never bleeds into app routes; there it will
   silently break blob:/media/websocket features.

### Webhooks (fulfill on payment)

Configure a webhook endpoint in Batchly (Developers → Webhooks). Batchly POSTs
HMAC-signed events (header `X-Batchly-Signature: sha256=...`, verify with your
endpoint secret). Fulfill (grant access, send the digital product) only when
you receive a matching payment event; do not fulfill from the browser response
alone. `sale.created` fires for EVERY sale at the store, counter and cash
included, and carries `{ saleId, product, quantity, total, tender, soldAt,
externalRef }` with no channel flag: match `data.saleId` to the `saleId`
returned by `purchase` (online sales also carry a non-null `externalRef`;
counter sales do not) before fulfilling. Recurring: `membership.payment` and
`membership.payment_failed`. Webhooks are NOT sent for test-mode sales, so
end-to-end webhook tests need the store live. See batchly.shop/developers for
the full event list + the signature recipe.

For server-to-server control, use the Batchly public API with a `bly_` key
(`Authorization: Bearer bly_live_...`, or `bly_test_...` for test mode):
